He is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, a five-time NBA All Star, and a member of both the National Collegiate Athletic Association Hall of Fame and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Tom Mitchell, Ph.D was a high school All State basketball player and a four-year collegiate scholarship athlete. A former college basketball head coach and sports psychology instructor, he has served as an NBA team performance counselor.
