*  Chris Riddell is a prolific writer and illustrator whose work is familiar to both children and adults. He has won the prestigious CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal three times. His work includes the Goth Girl series, the Ottoline series, and the picture books The Emperor of Absurdia and Alienography. In addition to his children's books, Chris is a renowned political cartoonist whose work appears in The Observer, The Literary Review, and The New Statesman. He lives in Brighton, England with his wife and has three grown-up children. Chris has recently become an Ambassador for Amnesty International UK.

This is a lovely book and I love Chris' illustrations. They're a great way of sparking conversations with children about things that really matter. Talking about human rights at any age is good for us and the society we live in. I think it's one we will return to again as the boys' knowledge and understanding of the world grows. I would recommend it for all ages, you can never be too young to understand your human rights. My children loved the dog representing Safety and the polar bear for Togetherness. My children had no idea who Amnesty International were so again it served as a springboard to discuss their work too.
