About the Author:
Christopher Smith is an aviation historian at Solent Sky Museum, where he is editor of the museum’s in-house magazine. His special interest is the history of Supermarine and the Schneider Trophy, about which he has written several articles, in addition to authoring a guide book on aviation in Hampshire.
