From Library Journal:
There are so many quilting books available today that one wonders what subjects there are left to cover. How about a British artist and quiltmaking teacher who uses classic Amish and Mennonite quilts as a springboard for her own original variations? New fabrics, different colors, or a change in settings or scale create a different look depending on how receptive the reader is to unusual color combinations. Unfortunately, instead of providing full-color photographs of her variations, Guerrier relies on drawings, so the reader cannot see the actual fabric and quilting patterns that bring a work to life. Still, this can be recommended for contemporary quilting collections.
