About the Author:
Alan Murphy first set foot on South American soil exactly 500 years after Columbus. After a year of following the ‘gringo trail’ in Venezuela and other countries, he settled down to co-edit an English language newspaper in Bolivia. Prior to travelling, Alan worked for ten years as a journalist in his native Scotland, before setting up his own publishing company.
