When he is captured by a voracious beast with a polka-dot hide, a clever piglet tricks it into going on a diet of foods that it likes least until it collapses from hunger, prompting the piglet to find the beast a non-piglet meal.

From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-Grade 2?A ferocious and famished polka-dot beast will eat anything and everything until a piglet warns him that his prized hide is about to burst. The piglet even volunteers to be a nutrition coach. It is a struggle, but the once-rotund monster becomes svelte and healthy. A funny idea falls flat due to a sophomoric, awkward narration. The text is composed of forced, choppy rhymes. Bright, multicolored double-page spreads featuring the lip-smacking, pop-eyed beast are playful and appealing, but unspectacular. They are definitely not enough to compensate for the feeble text.?Heide Piehler, Shorewood Public Library, WI
